I’ve been a bit slow about posting a lucid howto largely because we had a new baby a few weeks ago and I just haven’t had time to tinker. I am probably going to migrate to Linux Mint LXDE though. While I like openbox by itself, having to manually configure the menu is a pain. The eventual new version of Crunchbang (codenamed Statler) will support a very light XFCE4 install but my brief experience with it is that it is quite buggy. And Lubuntu is just plain bad. So within the next few weeks, expect a Linux Mint LXDE howto.

Congratulations for the new family member. I have tried Mint years ago and simply does not fit me, hope now could be better for me. But I am really waiting Crunchbang-Debian movement… and keep it stable for longer time…

I do have some complaints about Linux Mint LXDE but it was less buggy than Statler — maybe by the time Statler hits beta it will be satisfactory. Right now it just seemed too hackish to me.
