SSD upgrade

November 13, 2016

I was recently gifted an HP Mini 1000. Given that my similarly spec’ed Aspire One’s HD was starting to act up and the HP Mini has an extra half Gig of RAM, I purchased a 128GB Super Talent DuraDrive ZT4 to use in the HP Mini. For whatever reason, the HP Mini did not recognize […]

It’s alive!

December 25, 2015

My Aspire One ZG5 is still kicking! I may look to upgrade in the next year or two but for the most part, it is still fine for light browsing.  The only problem I’ve been encountering is that some applications are no longer produced for 32bit systems… In terms of distros, I tried the Crunchbang […]

Maverick HOWTO

September 16, 2010

I’ve installed the beta release of Maverick and I have to say that I am quite impressed. There is one niggling problem with the keyring for which I have not found a satisfactory answer but there is a simple workaround if anyone else has this problem. As with Lucid, I opted for Lubuntu but much […]
